Emergency Relief

When faced with a crisis, we must join together and act as a community with purpose, compassion, and focus to assist the most vulnerable populations in our region. We are stronger together.

This fund was established to enable the rapid delivery of financial resources to MetroWest-based nonprofit organizations working to serve our communities during broad-based emergencies, including natural disasters, financial crises, and public health emergencies.

We will continue to assess the need to deploy these funds to respond to ongoing or new emergencies or crises impacting our region.

Current Funds

Money from the Framingham Emergency Relief fund will be used to support:

  • Identified nonprofit organizations who are providing direct services to support the families arriving in the community, including meal preparation and delivery, health services, case management services, legal support services, behavioral health services, etc.
  • Identified nonprofit organizations purchasing food, household goods, hygiene items, medical supplies, etc. for the families in need

The Fund will accept donations from individuals, businesses, and other foundations and is committed to working with the City of Framingham and local nonprofit partners to identify the greatest needs and care for our community in the most effective way possible.

The Community Foundation for MetroWest is supporting urgent and ongoing needs for migrant families being placed in communities across the MetroWest region, through the MetroWest Emergency Relief Fund.
